ENVIRONMENTAL

GENERAL

Responsible manufacturing involves adhering to concerns of environmentalists. We all strive to have a cleaner and greener world to live in, free from pollution. It is common cause that old casings of used tyres are a huge problem, being difficult to dispose of. Some of the ways tyres are disposed of and which have huge ecological impact, are:

1. Burying of old tyre casings.
2. Dumping of tyres offshore. (These steps take the problem out of sight but do not solve it.)
3. Burning of the old rubber. This is probably the most harmful way of disposing tyres – not only environmentally, but it is also a huge eyesore.

There are only limited possibilities and applications for re-cycled rubber.

SOLUTIONS

Tyre protection chains reduce the environmental impact of tyres with a phenomenal 400% per application and more. These figures are derived at by simply multiplying the times tyre protective chains prolongs the tyre life, i.e.

On average TPC prolongs tyre life conservatively four times.

If one machine uses TPC on all 4 wheels, it collectively totals 16 tyres less to dispose of per machine per year.

On a site with an average of 5 machines, this totals 80 tyres per site per period to dispose of! (Remembering that certain sites have a cycle period of only 4 months).

If one then considers the global reduction of tyres, then the saving on our environment is unimaginable.

TPC

Used TPC is easily re-cycled and is a sought after material for scrap-metal purposes, over and above its own re-usable functionalities.

CHAIN ECONOMY

With TPC costing the same, or considerably less than tyres, the financially sound decision to use TPC, speaks for itself. Yet, chain economy does not only reflect on the financial concerns or savings. Chain economy also reflects on rehabilitation and other indirect costs.

Please read our section on The Environment and Ecological Impact.

Other indirect costs savings is the lesser down time gained with lesser tyre changes. Secondly if TPC saves on tyres, then there is on this example, 32 tyres less to change per any given period cycle. This amounts to less people needed and a fewer times to assist in tyre changes. This example only refers to one site with one machine. The saving is as manifold as there are machines.

EXAMPLE

Site A uses one tyre every 2 000 hours or 4 months. This calculates to 3 tyre changes x 4 wheels per year and their equals 12 tyre changes per year per machine.

With TPC expanding the life expectancy of tyres 4-6 times, this calculates potential to only one set of tyre change per year

Switch now and save thousands.

The growing demand for, and the widely use of TPC should be evidence enough. But make the change and experience the economically sound benefits today.
